<p>As I recall, at one of the board meetings, we decided that since it is becoming more and more of a challenge to get speakers, on occasion we might have to pay them. It would require board approval and this is what Barbara has requested.</p>

<p>We do not have a specific criteria/guidelines at this point in time.</p>
<p>It was also pointed out that we do have the funds to be able to afford this, especially in this case which the speaker is only asking $100.</p>

<p>We do NOT have a speaker for next month so $100 to secure one seems reasonable.</p>

</p>
<p>Otherwise, forget the whole idea of paying anything and don't have a speaker for next month and perhaps we can just stop having a GM altogether!</p>
