Our Mission Statement:
“GGCS provides a congenial forum for people interested in computers and portable communications devices to gather and share information.
We strive to be a resource that serves the needs and interests of people at all skill levels.
We seek to make a positive contribution to the society around us by making the benefits of computer technology accessible to everyone.”
The Golden Gate Computer Society, a non-profit 501-c-3 organization, is one of the foremost computer and technology user groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. In a nutshell, we are “users helping users.”
We began in 1981, shortly after the first IBM personal computer came to market. Our members include expert and novice computer users alike. We are retirees, CPAs, engineers, doctors, hobbyists, housewives, secretaries, computer professionals, students, lawyers and business-persons of all ages.

About our General Meeting
We are meeting online via Zoom during the Covid-19 facility closures and restrictions on gatherings.
About our Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups, also known as SIGs, normally meet monthly, are typically smaller groups compared to the General Meeting and have a specialized topic (at least in theory sometimes). The groups change over time. They can be part discussion group or planned presentations, depending on the leader. These meetings are also online via Zoom.

To join the Golden Gate Computer Society send your membership information along with your check for $24 for a one-year family membership. This entire membership fee is tax deductible under our 501(c)3 non-profit status.

To join using PayPal, CLICK HERE OR send an email to membership@ggcs.org with your name, address, phone number and email address or use the form below. Then log in to PayPal.com with your personal PayPal account ID and password. Click on “pay or send money”. Choose membership@ggcs.org as the account to send money to and enter the amount, e.g. $24. Confirm the payment and choose method of payment, e.g. PayPal balance, credit or bank account. PayPal will send the treasurer a confirmation that money has been sent to our account. Your contact information will be added to the database and you will receive a welcome letter with your membership card. Your email address will be added to the list to receive the newsletter notification and for weekly announcements of GGCS classes and events.
