Thanks for your patience.  I can give a presentation on Monday, March 28, 2016 on RootsMagic.  Please send me the details of location.  I would like to be there a few minutes prior to the presentation so I can setup my laptop and connect to the projector, etc.
 
I won&rsquo;t be able to tell the group too much about the new relationship between Ancestry.com and RootsMagic because they won&rsquo;t have the sync setup for several more months.  I can review what has been put out by RootsMagic via news releases and demonstrate how the sync works between RootsMagic and Family History and MyHeritage.

I have always held that Marin Genealogical Society and GGCS are "sister" organizations. ?We are welcome at their meetings, and, IMHO, they should be welcome at ours. ?We have quite a few "joint" members, myself included. ?Gene is outgoing webmaster at MCGS and I am his replacement. ?Still learning their weird website.

We charge non GGCS members $5.00. Photo club members who are not GGCS
members are charged the $5.00. We can't make an exception for Marin

They are the same  status as the Photo Club we are receiving a lot more from them. Give me an example of members of GGCs who are not members of the Genealogical Society who go to their meetings. This was decided at previous board to charge non GGCS members $5.00.

I won&rsquo;t be able to tell the group too much about the new relationship between Ancestry.com and RootsMagic because they won&rsquo;t have the sync setup for several more months.  I can review what has been put out by RootsMagic via news releases and demonstrate how the sync works between RootsMagic and Family History and MyHeritage.

I have always held that Marin Genealogical Society and GGCS are "sister" organizations. ?We are welcome at their meetings, and, IMHO, they should be welcome at ours. ?We have quite a few "joint" members, myself included. ?Gene is outgoing webmaster at MCGS and I am his replacement. ?Still learning their weird website.

We charge non GGCS members $5.00. Photo club members who are not GGCS
members are charged the $5.00. We can't make an exception for Marin

They are the same  status as the Photo Club we are receiving a lot more from them. Give me an example of members of GGCs who are not members of the Genealogical Society who go to their meetings. This was decided at previous board to charge non GGCS members $5.00.

I have always held that Marin Genealogical Society and GGCS are "sister" organizations. ?We are welcome at their meetings, and, IMHO, they should be welcome at ours. ?We have quite a few "joint" members, myself included. ?Gene is outgoing webmaster at MCGS and I am his replacement. ?Still learning their weird website.

They are the same  status as the Photo Club we are receiving a lot more from them. Give me an example of members of GGCs who are not members of the Genealogical Society who go to their meetings. This was decided at previous board to charge non GGCS members $5.00.

I have always held that Marin Genealogical Society and GGCS are "sister" organizations. ?We are welcome at their meetings, and, IMHO, they should be welcome at ours. ?We have quite a few "joint" members, myself included. ?Gene is outgoing webmaster at MCGS and I am his replacement. ?Still learning their weird website.

We charge non GGCS members $5.00. Photo club members who are not GGCS
members are charged the $5.00. We can't make an exception for Marin
Genealogical Society members.

Subject: GGCS Prsentation?

 

Hi Gene....Presentations Committee of GGCS would like to have a Genealogy
Presentation for the March 28th General meeting (7:30 P.M).

 

We have not had anything along these lines for several years, and I wondered
if you could perhaps present Roots Magic, since I know you recommend it.
Also, people probably would like to know what the new affiliation with
Ancestry.com is all about and any other new bells and whistle that the
program offers..

 

Please let me know if this is something you could do for us.

They are the same  status as the Photo Club we are receiving a lot more from them. Give me an example of members of GGCs who are not members of the Genealogical Society who go to their meetings. This was decided at previous board to charge non GGCS members $5.00.

I have always held that Marin Genealogical Society and GGCS are "sister" organizations.  We are welcome at their meetings, and, IMHO, they should be welcome at ours.  We have quite a few "joint" members, myself included.  Gene is outgoing webmaster at MCGS and I am his replacement.  Still learning their weird website.

Thanks for your patience.  I can give a presentation on Monday, March 28, 2016 on RootsMagic.  Please send me the details of location.  I would like to be there a few minutes prior to the presentation so I can setup my laptop and connect to the projector, etc.

 

I won?t be able to tell the group too much about the new relationship between Ancestry.com and RootsMagic because they won?t have the sync setup for several more months.  I can review what has been put out by RootsMagic via news releases and demonstrate how the sync works between RootsMagic and Family History and MyHeritage.
