As I recall, the Maker Presentation by Ivan was ok, but needed more substance and better examples but otherwise was very informative.
While at dinner with Philip prior to the meeting, he indicated that he had not prepared anything for the meeting but would just answer questions as needed! I think that set the stage and Steve extended his presentation to make up.
I'm sure that if they extend what they are doing at the library to the General meeting it could be a great presentation but let's make sure they know what is expected and they have a chance to prepare.
The preliminary details listed by Babette, look good.
Thanks,
Marcelino

Barbara and I have been talking to Ivan Silva and Philip King about being presenters sometime early next year.
They have been working together since September or October at the Tiburon Library with our Tablet SIG and make a good team. Philip is well liked by the Tablet SIG members and by Ivan too.
Ivan made a very good presentation a year or so ago , I think about Makers. I realize some of you were disappointed with Philip when he joined a panel at the Church last Spring, but he was not sure what was expected of him that night. When we all agree on a couple of topics for the Tablet SIG, he comes well prepared and is very clear, concise and well received and deals with questions very well. He covers iOS devices and Ivan covers the Androids.
We haven't gone any further into details of what they might do...but I thought of a few things such as:
What can you do with a Smart Phone v. a Tablet
Do you need both? If not, how do you decide which one?
How do you select a provider and service plan?
What are the differences and similarities of iOS, Android (and maybe Chrome and the new MS Tablet, if they can cover those).
Let us know if you want to explore this further or not.
Babette
