Mr. Dunn...please forgive my delay in reply - we were away for a few days.
We at GGCS are delighted that you can be with us for the November General Meeting. We're truly sorry you can't be our dinner guest, but if anything changes in your schedule, please just let me know.
Otherwise, it will be fine if you can get to us by 7 P.M. that evening for set up.
Meanwhile, could you let me know what you'd like to plan to include in your talk. You'll have 90 minutes, including some time for Q&A (either during or towards the end of your presentation).
I know that in general, there is interest in what will be new in Quicken for 2017, both for Windows and Mac versions, as well as mobile services. (e.g., will more investment features be included for mobile users?)
People also would like to know what is ahead for Quicken in general in the future...
What will Quicken look like in three-five years?
Will desk top versions be maintained?;
How will Quicken work with Mint? Will they be linked?;
Will Quicken continue to roll over into TurboTax?;
Will Quicken continue to require use of the Intuit ID or one of its own? Why?
Explain rolling updates and why/whether annual upgrade versions will still be needed?
Is Tech Support going to be provided by U.S. located agents?
I don't mean to attempt to provide your "script", but these are the issues I hear most about from our SIG members and my clients.
Please let me know how these questions would fit into what you want us to know.
Looking forward to working with and meeting you,
Babette

Mr. Dunn - Thanks so much for your consideration. The November date would be fine if you can make it.
Our General Meetings begin at 7:15 P.M. and end at about 9:00 P.M.
We also invite our speakers to have dinner with us before the meeting, which is held in a Community Room, adjacent to Jason's Restaurant in Greenbrae.
We try to get into dinner by 5:45, to allow for an un-rushed meal, and ask the speaker to try to arrive by 5:15 or so, so that we can be sure his/her laptop or whatever devices are needed will set up with our equipment.
It it's not possible for you to arrive that early, we can set up with you at 7:P.M., when our Intro to Computing class (held from 6:00-7:00 P.M.) ends.
We have a screen, projector, PC computer and WiFi connection in the meeting room. Quicken 2016 is installed on the computer. If you will be working with an Apple devices, let us know what dongle you need to connect to the projector.
I hope this will fit into your schedule.
Babette

Mr. Dunn:
We'd be delighted if you could be with us on either Oct 24 or Nov. 28. Our General Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month (except December), and take place in Greenbrae, CA.
If either of these dates will fit into your schedule, please let me know, and we can plan further details from there.
Many thanks for your reply. I look forward to your being with us.

Dear Ms. Bloch:
I was forwarded a message today conveying your invitation for me to speak at a meeting of the Golden Gate Computer Society in October or November. Depending on the specific date and time, I would hope to be able to do so. Can you provide these specifics?
Thanks,
