I submitted our Quicken presentation to Meetup, then wanted to do Linda's Siegel's talk on VPNs. However, what is shown on our website is too generic and totally without sizzzle (see below). Does anyone have better information about her talk?

Well, Linda and Ivan talked about using VPM's on smart phones at last week's SIG, and after they defined what a VPM is and why to use it, they pretty much covered the other points. They stressed that you should never use WiFi for financial and other security related use on a smart phone, or if you must, to use a VPM app. I think the Weh Site also needs to define what a VPM does. and how it keeps your data safe.  I can't do that because I'm still dim on the way it actually works.

I think she meant Web Site.
Also, it's VPN = Virtual Private Network.

They stressed that you should never use WiFi for financial and other security related use on a smart phone, or if you must, to use a VPM app. I think the Weh Site also needs to define what a VPM does. and how it keeps your data safe.  I can't do that because I'm still dim on the way it actually works.

VPN?s can also slow down transmissions, particularly if to a foreign location.
