Well, with CR in the offing, we' seem to be through May, and if that AARP thing is of interest and works out, we'd be set thru June.  No complaints about that, considering the fact that a month ago we had nothing going!

Hi Babette, in case you didn't know, our February speaker was postponed to March due to a glitch with Zoom outside the US, so don't book Consumer Reports until April.

I contacted Consumer Reports regarding their recent workshop on how to get your name off the Internet, and below is my original message to them, and their reply.

Do we want them to make a presentation by Zoom at a General Meeting or do we want to run a recording of the workshop.l

Frankly, I think a presentation would be better.  The workshop was good, but the presenters went fast and I'm not sure we could have Qand A with just the recording.

I'd appreciate some direction from the group on this, and even having Marcelino or someone asking them any questions you have. 

Meanwhile, I will ask if we can look at the recording.

I am a member of the Steering Committee of the Golden Gate Computer Society (www.ggcs.org), a non-profit computer User Group in the San Francisco Bay Area (based in Marin county), which has provided programs meetings, classes, Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and technical support  to members and non members for over 30 years.

We would be most interested in having CR present such a program for our monthly General Meeting in the near future.  It is held via Zoom at present, on the fourth monday of each month at 7 p.m., Pacific Time.

We have an Internet and More SIG, and the leader of that group might like to show the recording of the meeting on removing names from the Net, if that is OK with you.

I'd appreciate it if you could put me in touch with the appropriate person with whom I could discuss this.
